No Passwords Required

A passwordless client portal your clients will actually use

Clients forget passwords. They lock themselves out. They email you at 11pm because they can't get into their files. Magic links remove all of that.

Free forever for 1 client. No credit card.

Password reset flows kill client portals. The average person manages 100+ passwords. Asking for one more is friction your clients don't need.

How it works

Two ways to access the portal

1

You share a permanent portal link

Every client gets a permanent portal link. They bookmark it. It always works. No expiry, no re-authentication required for regular access.

2

For added security, send a magic link

Click 'Send magic link' in your dashboard. Your client gets an email with a one-click login link. It's valid for 15 minutes and can only be used once.

3

They click and they're in immediately

No password, no account creation, no friction. They see their projects, files, and messages. Done.

What freelancers are saying

4 clients onboarded in one afternoon

I was emailing Dropbox links and hoping clients found the right file. Set up ClientDesk in 10 minutes, moved 4 active clients over that afternoon, and my first client said it looked 'really professional.' Haven't sent a file over email since.

Cut status emails by 80%

My clients used to email me 3-4 times a week asking 'what's the status?' Now they check the portal themselves. I tracked it for a month and went from 12 status update emails per week down to 1 or 2. That's hours I get back every week.

Switched from Dubsado in 15 minutes

I tried Dubsado and HoneyBook before this. Both wanted me to learn a whole CRM just to share project files. ClientDesk does the portal part and does it well. I was up and running in under 15 minutes with white-label branding.

Zero login friction for clients

The magic link is genius. I have clients who can barely open a PDF, so asking them to create an account was never going to work. Now I send one link and they see everything: files, progress, messages. No login issues at all.

FAQ

Magic link questions

What is a magic link?

A magic link is a secure, single-use URL sent to a client's email. They click it and they're automatically logged in. No password required. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.

Are magic links secure?

Yes. Each magic link expires after 15 minutes and can only be used once. After it's clicked, the link is invalidated. The permanent portal link can optionally be password-protected if you need an extra layer for sensitive work.

Can clients set a password if they want one?

No. ClientDesk uses magic links and permanent portal links instead of passwords. This is intentional. Most clients prefer the simplicity of clicking a link over managing yet another password.

What happens if a magic link expires?

They request a new one. The flow takes about 30 seconds: enter email, check inbox, click link, done. No frustration about forgotten passwords.

Can multiple clients share one portal link?

No. Each client gets their own dedicated portal. The link is specific to that client's projects and files. Other clients can't access each other's work.

Does every client need their own portal?

Yes. Each client gets a dedicated portal showing their projects and files. This keeps everything organized and ensures your clients only see their own work.
